Forwarder Yamabiko Ranger (BY510)
Without requiring wide work paths or loading areas, it is widely appreciated by forestry associations and forestry professionals across the Japan.
In recent years, loading of thinned wood and other materials using construction machinery grapples has been taking place. However, there has been increasing demand for balanced and safe loading with grapples even on switchback roads with steep gradients, frequent inclines, and limited turning space.
To address this, prototype machines were brought to actual sites, thorough dialogue was conducted with users, and products were conceived and developed from the user's perspective, not the manufacturer's perspective, resulting in the creation of this Forwarder Yamabiko, a reference to the mountain spirits.

The cargo bed made out of dual layers of high-tensile and corrugated steel, and the side plates also useing high-tensile steel, providing a outstading durability during intense loading work.
●Exceptional maneuverability
Despite its lightweight, the Yamabiko offers a substantial payload capacity of 3.1 tons (6000lbs) without losing any of its maneuverability. Moreover, its outstanding high-speed traversability, reaching a maximum speed of 10 km/h (unloaded), reduces cycle times for transporting materials like thinning wood.

The hydraulic side poles and dump mechanism efficiently discharges the all loaded materials and ensures quick and easy operations.
●Maneuverability and operability
Powered by a watercooled 46 horsepower diesel engine, the Yamabiko demonstrates outstanding maneuverability and operability, conquering rough forest terrain and muddy ground. Combined with a body width of 1945mm, it boasts agile movements and maneuverability even on narrow forest roads.
●Well-balanced chassis also for long loads
The chassis is designed with a wheelbase of 1400mm and a body center distance of 1300mm, providing a balanced body dimension and a sideways loading method. This setup boasts stability for transporting long materials up to 12 meters. Particularly, compared to rear-loading vehicles, the overall length, including the materials, is shorter, reducing damage to forest roads and allowing for easier maneuverability in narrow forest pathways.
